I wanted to capture Maradona the way the world first fell in love with him: pure talent, pure joy, pure connection to the game. That balance, that effortless control, that spark in his eyes, it’s everything football represents. Painting this in oil gave me the time and depth to really push the textures, the shadows, and the feeling of a legend in the making.
